ONO Pharma Foundation Appoints Hirotaka Mizuno as New President to Lead Scientific Programs


ONO Pharma Foundation is pleased to announce that Hirotaka Mizuno has been appointed the new president. An experienced scientific leader, Hirotaka will oversee our scientific program “ONO Initiative” and operations, and will be responsible for improving our activities in the community building in the United States and Canada.

Hirotaka began his professional career at Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., where he was involved in discovering new drug candidates for various therapeutic areas. With over two decades of experience in pharmaceutical research, he has made significant contributions to drug discovery and in vitro assay development for high throughput screening. He expanded his research by working as a Professional Scientific Collaborator at the Scripps Research Institute and the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in La Jolla, California.

Hirotaka will continue to drive innovation in the field of Chemical Biology, leveraging his extensive experience and expertise to accelerate novel scientific solutions that have the potential to transform patient care.
