Erica Weinberg is the Founder and CEO of Ideas in Philanthropy. With more than two decades of experience across the private, corporate, and philanthropic sectors, she brings strategy, insight, and clarity to funders seeking to make a meaningful difference. As the founder of Ideas in Philanthropy, Erica partners with companies, foundations, and families to design and activate philanthropic initiatives that reflect their values and respond thoughtfully to community needs.

Whether guiding a family through defining its philanthropic identity, helping a corporate foundation navigate grantmaking priorities, or facilitating multi-stakeholder strategy sessions, Erica creates space for clarity, alignment, and impact. Clients turn to her not just for her deep expertise in the philanthropic landscape, but for her steady presence, intuitive listening, and ability to turn complexity into action.

Erica’s approach is collaborative by design. She is known for engaging diverse voices, navigating sensitive dynamics with care, and building consensus that leads to bold, shared commitments. Her facilitation work has supported board retreats, strategy design processes, cross-sector initiatives, and learning communities across the country.

Prior to founding Ideas in Philanthropy, Erica led integrated grantmaking and philanthropic services at TCC Group and served as Director of Global Philanthropy at Pfizer Inc., where she oversaw global health and community investments totaling $50 million. Her background includes a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, program design, and the alignment of philanthropy with broader social impact goals.

She holds a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California. Erica is also the creator of Joyful Gut Cooking, a passion project exploring the intersection of food, healing, and joyful living.
