ONO Pharma Foundation is excited to share the appointment of Shingo Hotta as our new President. With a wealth of leadership experience, Shingo will guide the direction of our awards program, the “ONO Initiative,” and oversee the Foundation’s operations. He will also focus on strengthening our engagement and impact within communities across the United States and Canada.
Shingo has built his career at Ono Pharmaceutical, where he has played a key role in the identification of innovative drug candidates and conducting mode of action research in the field of oncology. His expertise extends to managing strategic research collaborations with academic partners, as well as leading drug discovery alliances and licensing negotiations with biotechnology companies in Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Shingo has also been instrumental in steering projects from early discovery stages through clinical development.
As President, Shingo will promote progress in Chemical Biology, utilizing his extensive scientific background and leadership expertise to support innovative research and help drive advancements that have the potential to improve patient outcomes.
