The 2025 Annual Symposium in Cambridge, MA – Our Biggest and Best

On June 23, 2025, the Ono Pharma Foundation Annual Symposium took place in Cambridge, MA, drawing around 135 researchers from academia and industry – the largest attendance in our symposium’s history. The event buzzed with innovation, collaboration, and insightful discourse, reflecting the Foundation’s dedication to advancing cutting-edge research in chemical biology.

This year’s program featured presentations by seven past research grant awardees and a captivating keynote lecture by Dr. Chuan He from the University of Chicago. Their talks celebrated bold, high-impact research ideas and sparked enthusiastic discussion. In addition, 24 poster presentations provided an invaluable platform for feedback, idea exchange, and potential collaborations. The poster sessions were lively and engaging, and many young scientists seized the opportunity to ask questions – making the atmosphere especially dynamic and stimulating.

The Ono Pharma Foundation extends its deepest appreciation to all the speakers, poster presenters, participants, and the members of the Scientific Advisory Board. Their contributions and enthusiasm were pivotal to the symposium’s success, creating an environment that inspires continued progress and innovation in chemical biology.

Looking ahead, the Foundation remains committed to supporting groundbreaking research and nurturing a vibrant scientific community. We eagerly anticipate the new ideas and collaborations that will grow from the connections made during the 2025 symposium. Next year’s Annual Symposium is scheduled for June 25 in the San Francisco Bay Area, with details to be announced on this website. Stay connected with us for updates on future events and initiatives.
